Due to the resignation of the Preston County Clerk, effective June 30th 2025, the Preston County Commission must appoint a replacement per WV Code 3-10-7.

- Those interested in filling the upcoming vacancy for the County Clerk should submit a cover letter and resume to the Preston County Commission by 4pm on June 5th
- All duties of the County Clerk must be assumed July 1st, 2025. This position would serve until a new County Clerk would be elected and certified at the next general election of 2026.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Preston County, and a registered Republican for at least one year prior to July 1st, 2025.
